    Are you available for emergencies?
Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency electrical service. Electrical emergencies do not wait for business hours. If you have sparking outlets, burning smells, power outages affecting part of your home, or any other urgent issue, call us immediately at (423) 414-6893.
Do you offer complimentary safety assessments?
Yes. We provide complimentary electrical safety assessments to help identify potential hazards in your home. There is no obligation, just honest information about your system.
    Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. On Point Electric is a Tennessee licensed and insured electrical contractor. We maintain the required licensing and carry insurance that protects both our team and your property during every project.
Can I text you instead of calling?
Absolutely. Calls and text messages are both welcome at (423) 414-6893. Texting works well for scheduling non-emergency appointments, asking quick questions, or sending photos of electrical issues you would like us to look at.
Do you handle permits and inspections?
Yes. For projects requiring permits, such as panel upgrades, EV charger installations, and significant wiring work, we handle permit applications and coordinate with inspectors to ensure everything meets local building codes.
Do you work on commercial properties?
Yes. In addition to residential work, we provide electrical services for light-commercial properties including offices, retail spaces, small warehouses, and similar buildings in our service area.
What payment methods do you accept?
Please ask about accepted payment methods when you call or request an estimate. We aim to make payment convenient for our customers.
    Who owns On Point Electric?
On Point Electric is owned and operated by Jordon Rice. It is a locally owned company based in the Chattanooga area. When you call us, you communicate directly with the owner.
How long have you been in business?
The company brings approximately 11 years of hands-on electrical experience to every project. That depth of experience means we have seen and solved a wide range of electrical challenges.
Will you clean up after the job?
Absolutely. We respect every customer's home and treat it like our own. That means using drop cloths where needed, wearing shoe covers indoors, and thoroughly cleaning the work area before we leave.
What should I do during an electrical emergency?
If you notice burning smells, see sparks, feel warm outlets, or have any sign of immediate danger: stay safe, turn off power at the main breaker if you can do so without risk, evacuate if necessary, and call (423) 414-6893 immediately. Do not try to fix electrical emergencies yourself.
